The iAMHUSBAND 24 Hour Challenge

You have twenty-four hours to complete the following assignment. Ready, go.

THE TASK:

You have twenty-four hours to surprise your wife with something nice. The only catch is that it can't be that thing you usually surprise her with; this has to be something different. Do something, buy something, make something, or say something. Get creative, think big, think small — just think. And then come back here and share with us what did.

(Oh, and the twenty-four hours starts when you read this, regardless of the date. ;o)

  3. Well, this challenge just happened to fall on our 18th anniversary, so I had something in mind. We weren't supposed to get gifts, as we're saving up for a big 20th anniversary trip in two years.

    But, she's been wanting a GPS unit, so I got one. Yes, she was very surprised. She's already planning a geocaching trip for the weekend.

  4. My wife is almost always the one who fixes breakfast every morning. When she woke up this morning I told her that I wanted to fix her breakfast.

    Nothing big, but she appreciated the thought.

    (Oh yeah, and clean-up was most definitely part of the gesture!)

  5. a few hours late, but when my wife went out to run a few errands I surprised her by having a home made dinner ready when she got back.

  6. Well, I tried to get creative. I remembered the little folded up paper chooser things from elementary school and looked around online for how to make one. Turns out they're called cootie catchers. I found some directions and made one in which the "fortunes" on the inside were actually things I thought she'd like me to do for her. Two of the four were things I'd do to benefit her, and the other two were things I'd do in my own life that she would like to see me do.

    I presented it to her as a "flashback to grade school" sort of thing. What she ended up with was that I would jog for at least 20 minutes a day for the next 7 days (I never exercise).

  7. I'm glad to see that several have gotten into this! Another Husband, that was definitely very creative, and I'm definitely seeing that go into the Romantic Ideas Collection
